David has a country background, being brought up on a sheep property near Armidale, and appreciates the value of commitment to the local community.
David attended the University of New South Wales in Sydney, where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1988. Immediately employed in the Sydney office of Coopers & Lybrand, David worked in the Business Services area. This provided extensive experience in a range of clients from international corporations to small business services, audit and insolvency/business recovery areas.
David seized the opportunity to transfer to Maitland with Coopers & Lybrand in 1997. After a brief stint in Newcastle, David has returned to Maitland to establish Maitland Partners. David has extensive experience working with rural, manufacturing, investment, retail, wholesale, distribution and transport clients, among others and brings a wealth of knowledge to the area.
David has specialised in the GST since its conception and brings this experience to Maitland. At Maitland Partners we will deliver client focused service, with Big 6 experience at local rates. In addition, David can provide tax effective investment advice using Great Southern Securities Pty Limited (AFS Licensee 240788) products.
